Overview
Med Star Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist. The position encompasses the OB/GYN Hospitalist patient care and an appropriate academic rank and title at Med Star Washington Hospital Center. Medical student and resident teaching are expected. The position involves a private practice-type setting at several sites. The department has full-time specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Genetic Counseling, and Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery.
MWHC is a full-service tertiary care hospital with a Level IV NICU and on-site MFM providers. The Verstandig Pavilion opened in December 2023 with new emergency, OR, and ICU capabilities.
Med Star Health is the largest nonprofit health care organization in the Baltimore-DC-Maryland area with 10 hospitals in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Our colleagues in the Med Star Women’s Health Service Line include Gyn Oncology and Urogynecology.
Responsibilities- Provide OB/GYN Hospitalist patient care and participate in medical student and resident teaching.
- Engage in private practice-type settings at several sites.
- Collaborate with a department that includes specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Genetic Counseling, and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
- Respond to in-house call approximately one in ~10 nights with a post-call day off.
- Academic rank and title appropriate to the role.
- Clinical and surgical skills in General Gynecology and Obstetrics as applicable to the position.
Salary is competitive and includes incentive potential. The position has a hiring range of USD $ - USD $ /Yr.
