The SVP of Community Pediatrics will provide strategic leadership for Goldberg Center and CNPA, fostering excellence in research, clinical care, and education. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic qualifications and a minimum of five years’ experience leading physicians in an academic or clinical setting.
ResponsibilitiesThe SVP will lead the community pediatricians and primary care providers in the Children’s National system. This physician leader will oversee all administrative, clinical, financial, and strategic aspects of the community physicians employed by or affiliated with Children’s National. Along with their executive business parter, the SVP will report directly to the Executive Vice President/Chief Clinical Officer.
Qualifications- Demonstrated record of academic achievement in neuroscience or a related field
- At least five years of experience in physician leadership
- Commitment to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation
- Proven ability to mentor and develop faculty and staff
- Experience with cross-sectional leadership and hospital governance
- Experience with Clinically Integrated Networks and health systems delivering primary and specialty care
- Quality and Safety experience
- Medical Degree
- Understanding of the finances of advancing pediatric care for patients
- Strong communicator with a vision for innovation and advancement of the field
