Bone Marrow Transplant Physician - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Institute, Washington DC

The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program at Med Star Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington D.C. is a FACT-accredited program that is growing rapidly. We are seeking additional transplant/immune effector cell therapy physicians to practice at Georgetown, within the Med Star system. This position provides the opportunity to work with an outstanding group of nationally recognized experts in Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy, in the only NCI-designated cancer center in Washington DC.

Excellent research and academic opportunities are offered with the ability to collaborate with its NCI consortium partner, Hackensack Meridian Health John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC). Together with JTCC, the position provides access to a very large patient population and an ideal platform for clinical and translational research in the field.

The Successful Candidate Will Help Further Develop And Grow The Established Stem Cell Transplantation And Cellular Immunotherapy Program Into a Destination Site.

• Support and contribute to the evolution of an evolving and growing NCI-designated program.
• Assume associate leadership roles within the program as appropriate.
• Provide clinical care for hematology/oncology patients, including transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.
• Engage in research and translational opportunities in collaboration with the program and JTCC.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

• BC/BE Hematologist or Medical Oncologist with interest in Stem Cell Transplant/Cell Therapy
• BC/BE Immunologist with appropriate clinical experience will also be considered
• Minimum of one year of supervised clinical training in transplantation OR two years as an attending physician responsible for the clinical management of both inpatient and outpatient transplant patients. Clinical experience in transplant and cellular immunotherapy
• Prior research experience in transplant or cellular immunotherapy is desirable
