We are a design-driven architecture and interior design firm seeking a Senior Interior Design Manager to join our Workplace Interiors team in Washington, D.C. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide innovative design solutions for high-profile workplace projects, mentor talented designers, and contribute to the growth of a collaborative studio culture.
Role and Responsibilities- Lead the design process under Studio/Sector Design Directors, ensuring alignment with firm-wide design principles.
- Present design concepts to clients and support business development efforts.
- Supervise and mentor project designers, fostering professional growth and design excellence.
- Oversee production of design materials, including concepts, visuals, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage strategic planning, programming, facility analysis, and integration of systems.
- Advocate for innovation, sustainability, and emerging technologies in design.
- Represent the firm at industry events and thought leadership opportunities.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in workplace interior design with proven leadership in projects.
- Professional degree from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or equivalent in Architecture.
- Professional licensure required (Interior Designer or Interior Architect).
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and mentorship skills.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and familiarity with AIA 2030 DDX goals.
- Published or award-winning work preferred.
- Base salary range: $120,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
