A design‑focused architecture practice located in Washington, DC is seeking a talented Project Architect to support aviation‑sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large, dynamic, and technically sophisticated environments while working within a studio culture that values creativity, curiosity, and professional growth.
Role and Responsibilities- Develop creative architectural solutions that satisfy project performance, functional, and design criteria.
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, documentation, and project deliverables across all phases.
- Manage contract administration tasks and support project execution from inception through completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary consultants to ensure cohesive and fully integrated project outcomes.
- Provide direction, leadership, and mentorship to project team members.
- Assist with scheduling, project planning, and client‑facing presentations.
- Support continuous improvement by applying current industry standards, codes, and technical best practices.
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience in commercial or large‑scale building design; aviation or transportation project experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex consultant teams and oversee integrated technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of constructability, code compliance, and building systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading diverse project teams.
- Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to produce and coordinate detailed architectural documentation.
- Licensed architects strongly preferred
