BKV Group seeks a Project Architect with 1-4 years as a licensed professional to join our Government team in Washington, DC. We’re looking for someone with a proactive and positive attitude and excellent organizational skills who seeks to thrive and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Ideally, we are looking for a well-rounded architect with experience working in all project phases.
A must have for this position is experience working on Civic projects (e.g. City Halls, Courthouses, Fire/EMS, Police Stations, County Offices, and/or Law Enforcement).
- Work with the Project Manager or Senior Project Architect in planning the layout of projects and in preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, and equipment.
- Coordinate with engineering team members to assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Architect with the integration of engineering systems into a unified design for client review and approval.
- Prepare complete and comprehensive plans, schedules, and details utilizing Revit for architectural construction documents under the guidance of a Senior Project Architect and/or Project Manager. Coordinate the architectural Revit model with each discipline for a complete and coordinated 3-D model and 2-D drawing deliverable as required at each phase of the project.
- Work closely with the project team to support the construction administration phase with responding to RFI’s, submittal reviews, ASI’s and PR’s.
- Four years college or university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-4 years’ related experience as a licensed professional required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with team members.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the PM and SPA.
- Proficient in Revit, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation range: $85,000 – $100,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
