The firm, founded in 1996, has completed over 600 projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, with a strong focus on custom residential design, historic preservation, and contemporary architecture.

Overmyer Architects enjoys a collaborative relationship with distinguished construction, landscape, engineering, and interior design professionals. Our Georgetown office employs six associates.

• Manage multiple projects of varying scales and at different stages of completion.
• Oversee project schedules, communications, and documentation.
• Coordinate design consultants and liaison with clients, either directly or alongside Principal.
• Produce drawings, details, schedules, and specifications for all project phases, including presentation, permit, and construction documents.
• Submit required documentation to permitting agencies, review boards, and neighborhood associations.
• Provide construction administration support, including regular site visits and handling design and administrative tasks.
• Offer technical guidance to less experienced associates.

• Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or Master of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
• Minimum eight years of professional architecture experience.
• Precision, organization, and attention to detail in daily work.
• Professional communication skills.
• Proficiency in 2D drafting software (Micro Station preferred).
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Acrobat, Excel, and Word.
• Proficiency in Sketch Up preferred.
