Overview

The Atlantic is seeking an associate editor to join the newsroom’s fact-checking team. This associate editor will work with The Atlantic ’s journalists and editors to ensure the accuracy and fairness of our work. This position will involve fact-checking across our editorial platforms (magazine, web, podcasts, etc.) on a wide range of topics, including politics, culture, science, and technology.

• A flexible schedule; night and weekend work often required
• Able to uphold the highest editorial standards under tight deadlines
• Minimum of three years post-college fact-checking experience

This role is based in Washington, D.C.

Annual salary minimum: $77,000

Annual salary maximum: $83,000
