Job Description

The successful candidate will hire, train, evaluate, and supervise costume and wig personnel. They will oversee the process of costume production from design to completion, as well as wardrobe personnel and maintenance.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years of costume management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of design techniques, execution techniques, and crafts, with knowledge of costume history
  • Excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and basic internet skills
  • Licensed driver
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
  • Overall planning, execution, and maintenance of the costume shop and wardrobe department
  • Staffing and scheduling of costume shop and wardrobe
  • Developing build, shopping, and pulling schedules
  • Swatching and acquisition of materials
  • Assigning draper tasks
  • Scheduling fittings and hair appointments
  • Coordinating hair and makeup requirements
  • Budget breakdown and management of the costume shop and wardrobe
  • Coordinating advance photo shoots and costume rentals
  • Providing mentoring and supervision for fellows and interns
  • Attending production meetings and other meetings as required
