LINK is a fast-growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) that leverages human-centered design to support strategy, innovation, communication, change, and branding within the federal government and adjacent industry partners. LINK partners with engineers, futurists, and thought leaders to untangle complexity, discover opportunity, and communicate clearly with visual stories. We seek to transform complex ideas and data into clear, engaging visual products for print and digital use, applying human-centered design and design thinking to create intuitive solutions that support client goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to solve complex challenges and deliver visually engaging solutions. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to understand their needs, develop intuitive information hierarchies, and create designs that support their goals.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, UX Design, Visual Journalism, Visual Communications, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in graphic design or a related role
- Strong expertise in information design, with a passion for creating visual stories and working with data to deliver impactful solutions
- Well-versed in a variety of design areas (e.g., experience design, brand development, information design, graphic design) to propose and develop the best solutions for each project
- Highly motivated to solve end-user challenges, meet stakeholder needs, and achieve business goals
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing requirements
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to lead clients and teams to clarity around requirements
- A bias towards positivity, openness and supporting others
- Design portfolio required for consideration
Visual Design and Information Products:
- Develop high-quality, visually engaging deliverables such as infographics, charts, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, briefs and presentation visuals
- Translate dense, technical or ambiguous information into structured, accessible and visually compelling formats
- Create visual systems, frameworks, and narratives that support strategy, research and decision making
- Produce materials optimized for both print and digital environments
Human-Centered Design and Problem Solving
- Apply human-centered design principles to every stage of the design process, from understanding user needs to testing visual solutions
- Collaborate closely with strategists, researchers, and subject-matter experts to ensure visuals reflect real user needs and client goals
- Iterate rapidly based on stakeholder feedback, data insights, and testing
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Understand client challenges and translate them into clear, tailored visual artifacts that drive clarity and alignment
- Work with the strategist to engage with client to define goals, clarify requirements, gather inputs and present design solutions
- Work efficiently under tight timelines and shifting priorities
- Support the development of templates, visual standards, and repeatable
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Some travel required to attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events
- Base salary range: $70,000-$90,000 (final offer reflects experience, qualifications, and geographic location)
- $100 monthly internet/cell phone stipend
