Quality Control Assistant

San Jose Construction Group, Inc has an immediate need for a Quality Control Assistant. This role ensures that the Quality Control Manager receives comprehensive support in overseeing all project standards and compliance.

Responsabilities:

• Conduct daily field inspections to verify that construction work meets project plans and technical specifications.
• Maintain daily QC reports, including detailed logs of inspections, tests, and any non-compliance issues.
• Assist in reviewing project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure field work aligns with approved materials.
• Inspect incoming materials to ensure they match approved submittals and are stored/handled correctly.

Skills & Experience:

• High School Diploma required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in construction field operations or quality oversight.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 (for USACE projects) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project owners.
