About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solar Site Superintendent to oversee the on-site construction of commercial and institutional solar PV projects throughout the DMV area. This role is ideal for a hands-on field professional with a strong electrical background who can take full ownership of jobsite execution—from preconstruction planning through project closeout.

You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and serve as the primary on-site leader responsible for safety, schedule, quality, and coordination across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all construction aspects of assigned solar projects from preconstruction through closeout

• Coordinate site logistics including roof access, electrical room access, material staging, and crew flow

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for: building owners/hosts/clients, subcontractors, and installation crews and inspectors

• Ensure projects are built to spec, per approved construction drawings and project scope

• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, with a strong focus on roof work and electrical safety

• Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and within scope

• Oversee quality control and resolve field issues proactively

• Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to: review project scope and constructability, provide input during project development and preconstruction, and support closeout documentation and punch list completion

• Typically manage one active project at a time, with the ability to occasionally oversee up to three concurrent projects as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or hands-on Electrical/Solar Installer

• Strong understanding of construction management principles and best practices

• Proven experience managing commercial solar or electrical construction projects

• OSHA 30 certification required

• Extensive training and experience in safety related to roof work and electrical systems

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings including: electrical, structural, architectural, and solar PV

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g.,  or similar platforms)

• Ability to travel between and manage multiple job sites as required

• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders

• Proactive problem-solver with demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills

• Ability to pass background checks to support work on federal government projects, as required

• Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
