We are headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with a satellite location in the Philadelphia, PA market.
At this time, Green Bench has an awesome opportunity to join the team in a construction management role for projects at a variety of projects throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. The team provides development and construction leadership, knowledge, and guidance to owners of existing and planned assets with the ultimate goal of maximizing construction efficiency and championing projects to successful completion.
The candidate’s primary duties will include planning, organizing, purchasing/contract administration, cost/schedule monitoring, job documentation, assisting in the oversight and execution of construction projects. Day to day activities will include construction budget estimates, assisting with and management of construction initiatives and oversight of construction activities, to include drawing review and regular onsite progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Building Construction, Engineering, Architectural or similar is preferred.
- Prefer to have minimum 2-3 years’ experience in construction project management, including direct construction / field experience and preconstruction / estimating abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds (executive, property management, development, construction, asset management, leasing, accounting, tenants, vendors, etc.).
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize items with a high level of organizational skill.
- Ability to use technology for compiling estimates, spreadsheets, schedules, etc.
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project.
- Creative problem solving / strategic thinking.
- Strong sense of leadership and work ethic, with a sense of urgency.
- Must own a dependable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage, must have a valid/current driver’s license and must be able to drive to properties for regular site visits and inspections.
