Foot Bridge is seeking an experienced Field Safety Manager to support a substation construction project in the Washington, DC area for a leading engineering and energy client. This role will be responsible for day-to-day safety oversight in the field, ensuring all site personnel and subcontractors comply with company and regulatory safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Lead and enforce safety protocols during all phases of substation construction.
- Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings, toolbox talks, and field audits.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards through proactive monitoring.
- Maintain safety documentation, incident reports, and corrective action logs.
- Collaborate with project management and field supervisors to promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements.
- 5+ years of field construction safety experience (utility or substation preferred).
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required; CHST or CSP a plus.
- Proven ability to lead safety programs on active construction sites.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; capable of engaging field crews effectively.
