Senior Facilities & Vendor Specialist – United Therapeutics Corporation
United Therapeutics (NASDAQ: UTHR) is a public benefit corporation dedicated to developing novel therapies for rare and life‑threatening diseases. Responsibilities
- Ensure the facility needs of the Legal Department are met, including 24‑hour on‑call service, routine inspections, and timely maintenance.
- Administer and manage the service and maintenance program for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, life safety, IT, and security systems.
- Review building equipment operations to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipating problems and solving issues, including capital improvements for DC office buildings.
- Collaborate with DC office, security, and IT personnel to test equipment and maintain an uninterrupted work environment, completing weekly/daily inspections with the Legal Operations Assistant.
- Identify and manage all service/maintenance contracts, negotiate terms, evaluate RFPs, and resolve contract disputes.
- Create, review, and maintain SOPs, operation manuals, facility drawings, and vendor documents.
- Maintain corporate safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Work with Corporate Real Estate to ensure compliance with all regulations and recommend utility upgrades, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
- Track and manage the annual facility budget.
Vendor Liaison
- Coordinate construction and renovation projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
- Respond to general contractor inquiries on electrician, plumber, HVAC, etc., to minimize delays.
- Manage day‑to‑day project tasks, including communication, scheduling, and informing staff of issues or delays.
- Review and track contractor schedules, develop look‑ahead schedules for the legal project team.
- Execute additional project management tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 9+ years construction/project management and facilities management experience
- Associate’s degree with 7+ years construction/project management and facilities management experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years construction/project management and facilities management experience
- Strong organizational and systems implementation skills
- Solid computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge and experience with Facilities Management programs

Washington, D.C. offices of United Therapeutics
Salary
Annual base salary ranges from $92,000 to $105,000, with eligibility for short‑term and long‑term incentive programs.
