Kester Search Group is partnering on a confidential Regional Sales Director search for a leader who can operate at both the strategic and execution levels. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded operator with deep oncology or diagnostics experience who enjoys building teams and driving meaningful growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own regional sales performance, including revenue attainment, expense management, and achievement of business objectives
  • Develop and execute regional and territory business plans aligned with broader commercial and marketing strategies
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of clinical or field-based sales professionals to drive performance and skill development
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key accounts, including academic medical centers, large health systems, and oncology-focused institutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to leverage internal resources, optimize customer solutions, and support strategic growth initiatives
  • Strong expertise in diagnostic services, with a preference for molecular diagnostics and oncology-focused offerings
  • Proven ability to sell and lead within complex, consultative, enterprise-level sales environments
  • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing commercial teams
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders
  • High business acumen, including experience managing CRM systems, forecasting, and regional financial performance
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related healthcare industries
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading multi-territory sales teams and exceeding commercial goals
  • Experience navigating payer, reimbursement, and contracting considerations within oncology or diagnostics preferred
