overview

about kearney as one of the original firms, we’ve never lost sight of the fact that consulting is a people business. A global partnership in more than 40 countries, our people make us who we are. We’re individuals with different passions and strengths who take as much joy in the work we do as from those we work with.

the role

about kearney’s global business policy council established in 1992 by kearney’s chairman emeritus paul laudicina, the global business policy council (gbpc) is a strategic service within kearney designed to help leaders anticipate and plan for the future. From its onset, the council was meant to address critical over-the-horizon issues of particular relevance to business, reflecting kearney’s enduring commitment to promote world-class strategic foresight and leadership.

the gbpc carries out its mandate by

  • sponsoring world-class meetings of business leaders to assess current and future business conditions;
  • generating cutting-edge analysis of relevant political, economic, and business issues; and
  • providing clients with specific strategic advisory services, including global foresight, scenario analysis, strategic planning, risk management, competitiveness assessments, and issue “deep dives.”
role responsibilities

the specialized consultant works with the council and kearney foresight team and supports operations in all three of the mandate areas identified above. To succeed in this role, you will need to have superior writing ability, effective communication skills, and an analytical mindset. You will need to be inventive, versatile, clever, collaborative, and open to developing and sharing creative ideas, approaches, and strategies.

  • macroeconomic projections: support the gbpc’s scenario and other forecasting activity as needed, using projections to reflect anticipated shifts in the operating environment.
  • advisory services: support select council and kearney foresight client engagements as needed.
  • gbpc activities and initiatives: develop council presentations, videos, qualifications, proposals, client briefings, etc. As assigned; conduct research and analysis; support gbpc event design and execution; other ad hoc project work upon request.
  • support of kearney practices: provide gbpc support to priority kearney consulting practices, as assigned.
