Summary of Position
The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), a prominent Washington, D.C. association devoted to supporting the work of state and provincial securities regulators, is seeing a Membership Manager within the organization’s Education, Events, and Membership Department. The position will report directly to the Director, Education, Events, and Membership. The Membership Manager supports NASAA’s Corporate Office Education, Events and Membership (EEM) team by proactively planning, coordinating, and executing membership initiatives.
This position oversees key membership processes, ensures data accuracy, and manages administrative tasks to ensure members have appropriate and timely access to tools and resources. The incumbent will track milestones and deliverables to maintain efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. The successful candidate will be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and service-oriented, with proven experience working with competing demands and deadlines.
- Maintain member records in the Association Management System (AMS); run data variance reports to identify issues.
- Coordinate internally to onboard new members and establish appropriate access to required systems.
- Receive and process all membership-related phone calls and emails; process the necessary updates to the AMS daily.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership listings, mailing lists, and additional reports and presentations as needed.
- Process the Annual Jurisdiction Survey.
- Work with the EEM team to define and develop new member reports as needed to support decision making and increase operational efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve overall member data accuracy and streamline retention of legacy data.
- Oversee the NASAA volunteer program for committees and project groups, including the CARF (Committee Assignment Request Form) application process.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage all incoming requests to shared membership inbox.
- Manage customer service requests related to online member community platform.
- Serve as the point of contact for members to address questions regarding operations.
- Engage with relevant member committees, working with new member onboarding.
- Support Member Services committee initiatives.
- Facilitate website updates as needed.
- Manage regular member-related communication channels and initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant full-time professional experience at an Association, or similar customer-focused organization, required.
- Experience with iMIS or other Association Management Systems highly desirable.
- Project management experience a plus.
- Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with competing demands and deadlines.
- Customer-centric mindset and work style.
- The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $83,000 per year.

- While this position will be based in the Washington, D.C. Corporate Office, NASAA maintains a hybrid working schedule where eligible staff are permitted to work remotely up to 3 days per week. As part of the onboarding process, new employees are required to work onsite for the first 5 days of their employment, 3 days per week for the following three weeks, and then 2 days per week pending successful completion of the onboarding process.
