Legal Project Management and Operations Specialist Arlington, VA (Hybrid)

Atlas Connections has partnered with an accelerating leader in data center development, seeking a highly motivated and proficient Legal Project Management and Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for providing essential organizational, process, and project management support to the legal team across a broad spectrum of real estate, development, and corporate transactions and projects.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and design skills, robust verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and a proactive and collaborative demeanor. This role is for the disruptor—the one who sees a broken process and immediately starts building a 10x better one. We seek an individual characterized by intellectual curiosity, an eagerness to master new subject matters, and a drive for efficiency, and who thrives on problem-solving and embracing new challenges daily with a strong focus on finding practical solutions.

We need a proactive owner, a collaborative problem-solver, and someone who thrives on the daily challenge of forging a new path. Experience in real estate or data centers is a bonus, but an intense drive to learn and impact is what truly matters.

Summary of Role

The Specialist will join a collaborative and deeply committed team that values partnership and innovative resolution of complex issues. This position is critical to ensuring the efficiency and seamless execution of the Legal Department's transactional activities. We strive for a pragmatic, efficient, and solution-oriented approach, dedicated to cultivating strong, trusting relationships across the organization. This role presents a significant opportunity to contribute to our expanding team by managing diverse projects and serving as the operational cornerstone for the Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project and Task Management: Assist with the Legal Team's project pipeline, ensuring rigorous tracking, communication, and adherence to deadlines across various transactions, including real estate, construction, financing, and general corporate matters.
  • Process Creation and Optimization: Develop, implement, and sustain efficient processes, standard operating procedures, and standardized workflows to enhance the Legal Department's operations and transactional management capabilities.
  • Organizational and Design Support: Produce and design internal tools and professional documentation (presentations, process maps, organizational charts) that are not just accurate, but visually compelling and easy for every stakeholder to understand.
  • Deal Flow: Provide support for critical transactions and contracts, managing key aspects of the intake, review, tracking, and execution of core agreements like leases, construction agreements, and financing documents.
  • Due Diligence Coordination: Act as a key player in the due diligence process, including the tracking and compilation of title, survey, zoning, and environmental documentation to keep our projects moving forward without friction.
  • Knowledge Management: Design and manage our legal knowledge management system, ensuring every team member has immediate, effective access to the information they need to execute quickly.
  • Compliance and Corporate Governance Ownership: Drive the management and ongoing monitoring of compliance mandates outlined in loan documentation and joint venture agreements. Independently handle the formation, comprehensive review, and maintenance of diverse corporate entities and their foundational charter documents.
Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution is preferred, but not strictly mandatory based on commensurate experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of pertinent experience in project management, operations, administrative assistance, or transactional or project support capacity, ideally within the real estate or legal sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple complex projects concurrently and maintaining accountability among diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Workspace, coupled with a strong aptitude for leveraging project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
