We are seeking a qualified and motivated Contract Specialist to support the acquisition and procurement functions for our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pre-award and post-award contracting activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and administer complex contracts for goods and services.
- Conduct market research and cost/price analysis to support acquisition strategy.
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bid (IFBs), and other solicitation documents.
- Evaluate contractor proposals and assist in source selection activities.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific acquisition policies.
- Prepare and execute contract modifications, terminations, and close-outs.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to program offices and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and complete contract files and documentation.
- Interface with legal, finance, and technical staff throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Education: Bachelor s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Coursework: Completion of at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following disciplines:
- Accounting
- Business
- Finance
- Law
- Contracts
- Purchasing
- Economics
- Industrial Management
- Marketing
- Quantitative Methods
- Organization and Management
- Experience: [Insert experience requirements, e.g., 1-3 years in procurement/contracting preferred.]
- Certifications: Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C)

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific procurement regulations.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in contract writing systems and procurement software (e.g., PRISM, FPDS-NG).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a government or federal contracting environment.
