Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Senior Manager is responsible for owning and optimizing Soupergirl’s sourcing and purchasing strategy across ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies. This role is critical to ensuring consistent supply, high quality, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation in a fresh food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on CPG experience and a proactive mindset focused on cost savings, supplier optimization, and supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end procurement for ingredients, packaging, and production-related supplies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and vendors
- Lead supplier negotiations, pricing reviews, contracts, and performance evaluations
- Ensure suppliers meet Soupergirl’s quality, food safety, ethical, and certification standards
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across raw materials, packaging, and freight
- Analyze spend data to uncover inefficiencies, redundancies, and consolidation opportunities
- Develop secondary sourcing strategies to reduce supply chain risk
- Monitor market and commodity trends and recommend purchasing strategies accordingly
- Partner closely with the Chief of Production, Operations, QA, Sales and Finance teams to align purchasing with production schedules and demand planning
- Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier data in Wherefour, Soupergirl’s ERP system
- Support inventory optimization to minimize waste while ensuring uninterrupted production
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis related to procurement
- Support and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods
- Work with carriers, freight providers, and internal teams to schedule shipments and resolve delivery issues
- Monitor freight performance, costs, and service levels, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings
- Assist with freight planning to support production schedules as well as temperature and customer delivery requirements
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to track freight spend and support budgeting and cost controls
- Continuously improve procurement processes, documentation, and internal controls
- Support the development and scaling of procurement systems as the business grows
- 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience within CPG (food & beverage strongly preferred)
- Proven experience in sourcing best practices, including supplier & carrier negotiation, RFPs, contracting, cost management, and managing supplier relationships
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with a track record of driving cost reductions
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in sourcing packaging for new projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field
- Familiarity with Wherefour or a similar ERP system
- Experience with fresh, refrigerated, or short-shelf-life food products
- Experience with logistics coordination of perishable products
- Knowledge of food safety, QA, and ethical sourcing standards
- Strong decision-making, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strategic thinker who can execute quickly and tactically in a fast-paced environment

- Salary plus incentive-based bonus structure (Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000)
