Description:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for
- Provide leadership in the daily safe operation of the Quinnesec warehouse, Logistics team members, and condition of carrier equipment.
- Provide day-to-day leadership of the following logistics-related functions:
- Inventory control & management (onsite, offsite)
- Management of Quinnesec warehouse
- Inventory aging guidance & instruction
- Mill warehouse organization
- Shipment planning & load tendering
- Rail switching, demurrage
- Truck spotting
- Supplier (i.e., carrier & offsite warehouse) relationships / interface / performance evaluations
- Corporate Supply Chain interface – Sales, Planning, Customer Service, Load Center
- Develop and manage department budget for traffic & warehousing.
- Management of offsite facility Service PO’s.
- Performance Management – Coach & develop direct reports to build a strong cohesive team
- Metric reporting
- Data analysis for business processes
- Ensure & facilitate best practices implemented in Logistics functions at mill
- Manufacturing Execution System governance (Optivision, SAP, Mercury Gate)
- Implementation of corporate projects, as requested. (Atlas, offsite converting, customer service programs, etc.)

- Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as demonstrated abilities to champion change and influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to give encouragement, guidance, and direction to improve safety performance.
- Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of corporate, state, and federal safety rules and regulations.
- Physical stamina and agility to conduct on-site inspections of the facility and equipment
