A friendly and reputable Washington, DC law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to provide temporary high-level support to its busy partners. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring day-to-day office operations run smoothly by delivering administrative support and providing high-quality, professional service to clients and visitors. If you are a highly organized, driven professional with a team-oriented mindset, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including scheduling and reserving conference space.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars with close attention to deadlines and critical appointments.
- Draft legal correspondence, edit pleadings, and prepare a variety of legal documents.
- Assist with the creation of slide decks, Excel spreadsheets, and general document support.
- Organize and prioritize incoming mail and phone calls, ensuring timely and efficient routing.
- Maintain an organized filing system for new, current, and closed client matters.
- Record attorney time in the billing system and assist with the preparation and review of bills, check requests, and expense reimbursements.
- Provide administrative support related to expense reports and invoice processing.
- Positive office culture, staff are highly valued and respected.
- This is a temporary opportunity seeking a three-month commitment.
- Experienced. You possess five (5) or more years of law firm experience in a legal support role. Litigation experience preferred.
- Technically proficient. You can navigate all applications of the Microsoft Office Suite with accuracy and efficiency.
- Exceptionally organized. You excel at prioritizing multiple tasks and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Collaborative. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are willing to assist wherever needed.
