About the Position: Serve as an Administrative Assistant in the areas of personnel, payroll, training, travel, and other administrative functions. Provide advice and recommendations to leadership on matters related to the coordination and integration of a variety of administrative functions.
Duties- Plan, manage, and coordinate personnel functions, advising management on personnel policies and policy changes.
- Act as the liaison between the organization and other staff offices for personnel matters.
- Serve as the training and travel coordinator, responsible for developing and coordinating the organizational Annual Training Plan.
- Serve as timekeeper and coordinate with serviced organizations to ensure that time and attendance data have been entered correctly and timely and provides guidance to correct deficiencies as necessary.
- Provide information and assistance to employees on benefits, pay and policies.
- Responsible for in/out processing of personnel.
- Point of contact for the initiation and follow-up of documentation with the Pentagon Medical Clinic for physical examinations for new hires, annual physicals and the medical surveillance program.
- Serve as the liaison for the Drug Testing Program for the Washington Aqueduct Division.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or for the duration of employment.
- This position requires participation in the Army Drug-Free Workplace Program and is subject to pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position has been designated as Key and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
