Overview

Creative Corrections is actively recruiting exceptional candidates to be considered for an Office Administrator position located in Washington, DC. This will be a contract role within the U.S. Department of State. The U.S. Department of State is the lead institution for the conduct of American diplomacy and the Secretary of State is the President’s principal foreign policy advisor. The Department of State’s mission is to advance U.S. national security interests, fight terrorism, protect U.S. interests abroad, and implement foreign policy initiatives that build a freer, prosperous and secure world.

INL keeps Americans safe at home by countering international crime, illegal drugs, and instability abroad. INL helps countries deliver justice and fairness by strengthening their police, courts, and corrections systems. These efforts reduce the amount of crime and illegal drugs reaching U.S. shores.

INL’s Office of Global Policy and Programs (INL/ACB) leads the Bureau’s policy development and transnational program management in the areas of anticrime and counter narcotics. INL/GPP collaborates with counterparts across the Department of State and within the U.S. interagency, including the White House, Department of Justice, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Department of the Treasury.

International organizations, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector also form key partners. INL/GPP manages an annual foreign assistance budget of over $120 million.


This position is contingent upon award of contract for BPA Call.

Position details

POSITION OVERVIEW

TITLE: Office Administrator

LOCATION: Washington, DC.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: A Secret security clearance is required for this position; however, the contractor may begin work with an interim Secret security clearance.

CLOSING DATE: February 4, 2026

Period of Performance

The period of performance for this order will be one (01) year from the date of award with the option to extend for six (06) months, subject to performance, need, and funding.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Based on a thorough knowledge of the responsibilities of the Director and Division Chiefs, and the Office, the Administrator performs a variety of responsible duties to relieve managers of administrative details and facilitate obtaining requested data in the performance of these responsibilities.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents. Ensures correct grammar and formatting, initiates changes as needed, and ensures compliance with classification requirements where applicable.
  • Ensures documents are cleared by appropriate staff and procedurally correct. Maintains current knowledge of established procedures for the preparation and clearance of correspondence and action documents.
  • Maintains and, upon request, leads comprehensive reform of the office SharePoint. Reviews SharePoint for best practices and keeps roster and key documents updated.
  • Establishes and maintains an accurate Employee Master Time and Attendance Record for each assigned employee; ensures pay records are supported by documentation and submits data timely to the National Finance Center. Serves as liaison with HR staff to resolve discrepancies.
  • Tracks requests for review and clearance addressed to the office director; prepares forms as needed and prioritizes actions to ensure timely completion.
  • Schedules meetings, appointments, and conferences; reminds staff of scheduled events; assembles background material; takes notes and prepares detailed or summary reports of proceedings.
  • Identifies interlocutors within the bureau and department, particularly INL/SAO, and establishes relationships and an office key contacts list.
  • Receives visitors and phone calls; determines nature of requests and refers to appropriate staff; answers routine information requests when applicable.
  • Maintains effective communication with staff and ensures follow-up on commitments made in conversations and correspondence.
