Salary Range: $20 per hour
Schedule: Jan 28, 2026 – early June 2026, approximately 20 hours per week
SummaryThe Asia Society Policy Institute, a solutions‑oriented think and do‑tank headquartered in New York with an office in Washington, D.C., seeks a temporary Project Assistant. Under the guidance of the Senior Program Officer and Director of Trade, Investment and Economic Security, the Project Assistant will provide administrative and research support for an Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) project centered on a supply chain resilience event in North Asia.
Responsibilities- Administrative support:
- Liaise with project funders, participants, panelists, experts, and other individuals connected with the project.
- Prepare and keep up‑to‑date project planning and financial reporting documents.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of meetings, and serve as rapporteur as needed.
- Arrange travel for speakers, participants, and staff.
- Organize the venue for the event, e.g., booking of hotel rooms.
- Organize other logistics, such as catering, local transport, and AV support.
- Provide additional administrative support as needed.
- Research and analysis support:
- Draft emails, talking points, briefings, and questions for panel discussions.
- Prepare materials for use in the event, including program handouts, presentations, and pre‑reading discussion documents.
- Compile primary and secondary research on supply‑chain resilience issues.
- Identify and map government and non‑government actors relevant to supply‑chain resilience in the Indo‑Pacific.
- Provide additional research and analysis support as needed.
- Bachelor’s or master’s graduate with background in trade, international affairs, or related field.
- Some work experience (internships acceptable).
- Demonstrated project management experience, including providing administrative and financial support for projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Superior time‑management skills and ability to identify key priorities.
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of an Asian language is an asset.
