TRG is seeking an Acquisition Specialist I to provide support to the U.S. Coast Guard CG-SID team.
Position Overview RequirementsThe Acquisition Specialist-I provides direct acquisition and administrative support to the U.S. Coast Guard CG-SID team in support of acquisition documentation, coordination, and recurring governance activities. This role supports Government execution of acquisition-related functions by developing, validating, organizing, and maintaining key acquisition artifacts; supporting reviews and compliance checks; and delivering high-quality documentation support aligned to established schedules and performance standards.
The Acquisition Specialist-I contributes to successful execution of PWS Tasks, including ad hoc document reviews, recurring report production, acquisition process support, and meeting logistics/minutes/action tracking for CG-SID governance activities.

The Acquisition Specialist-I is expected to consistently deliver high-quality outputs that support mission execution and leadership decision-making, including:
- Professionally formatted acquisition and program documents ready for Government review
- Accurate recurring reports and consolidated tracking products
- Timely meeting minutes, action trackers, and follow-up documentation
- Well-organized documentation structures supporting accessibility and compliance
- Clear communication and responsiveness to Government timelines and priorities
Reviews Government-provided acquisition documentation (e.g., memos, technical packages, market research inputs, templates, draft narratives) for:
- completeness and internal consistency
- formatting, grammar, clarity, and professional presentation
- alignment with stated objectives, schedules, and governance expectations
- Assists Government personnel with compiling, improving, and organizing acquisition-related files for internal review and leadership approval.
- Coordinates minor edits and reformatting updates in accordance with USCG/CG-SID style conventions and templates.
- Tracks document status and versioning, ensuring appropriate naming conventions and directory placement.
- Supports development of recurring CG-SID reports and deliverables, such as:
- tracking logs and milestone updates
- requirement/need updates (as directed)
- acquisition activity status summaries
- document review trackers and action item logs
- Consolidates inputs from multiple sources (Government staff, internal trackers, external reference files) into standardized report formats.
- Performs quality control checks to validate accuracy, formatting consistency, and completeness before submission.
- Ensure recurring deliverables are produced on time and reflect the latest available information.
- Assists Government with research and documentation support for acquisition policy/process references and related internal guidance materials.
- Helps produce and update process artifacts that may include:
- checklists
- templates
- process guides
- reference materials supporting consistent execution
- Supports Government staff with documenting repeatable processes and capturing workflow steps for continuity and knowledge transfer.
Scheduling, Materials, Minutes, Tracking
- Provides administrative and documentation support for governance and programmatic meetings as directed, including:
- scheduling support and calendar coordination
- agenda preparation and distribution
- creation of meeting read-ahead packets and supporting materials
- meeting minutes capture and distribution
