The Library Research Analyst should have basic computer and technical skills as well as customer service and ability to communicate professionally with providers and end users.

Three main job responsibilities will be to (1) assist with Virtual Medical Library (VML) Subscription Metrics, (2) Open Athens and (3) Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests. This will include monitoring the multiple org boxes for when these requests come in. Job duties will include:

• Respond to emails regarding Open Athens access.
• Determine the issue and attempt to resolve
• Be able to create new Open Athens accounts as needed
• Be able to move accounts to other Open Athens accounts as needed
• Renew expired accounts
• Send password reset links or temporary passwords

• Respond to ILL requests.
• Be familiar with DOCLINE
• Learn how to search for libraries in DOCLINE
• Learn how to search for journals in DOCLINE
• Know how to submit requests, including manual requests
• Be familiar with Pub Med and searching in Pub Med
• Be familiar with using World Cat
• Maintain and update spreadsheets for all requests

• Intermediate skill with Microsoft Excel/Pivot Tables/Power BI
• Pull/Request monthly usage metrics from various vendor sites/POCs
• Input monthly data into spreadsheets

• Maintain administrative access to various vendors sites
• Create annotated bibliographies, literature reviews, and specialty guides as needed
• Support one-pagers and status reports for VML leadership
