Administrative Time and Attendance Specialist (USSS) (Washington, DC)

Vision Centric, Inc. is seeking contractors to ensure proper recording, processing, transmission, and correction of time and attendance records for the United States Secret Service (USSS) Office of Human Resources (HUM). The Time and Attendance (TA) Technician executes time and attendance functions and provides administrative, technical and customer services affecting pay and leave entitlements for all Agency employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Examine time and leave record information to identify, analyze, and correct errors to minimize delays and incorrect payments; adjust records as needed to resolve issues.
  • Provide customer support for agency personnel on using electronic TA systems to record time and leave; advise managers and employees on regulatory requirements and pay and leave policies.
  • Support TA processing and posting across multiple automated electronic systems within established deadlines to ensure accurate and timely file updates; develop or run regular and ad hoc reports necessary to ensure all timecards are processed on time in accordance with policy.
  • Create and manage employee accounts and profiles in electronic TA systems, including password resets, resolution of access issues, and account deletions.
  • Monitor end users’ adherence to routine and special timelines and cutoff schedules to ensure timely data transmissions; advise managers and employees of pending deadlines.
  • Support development of training modules, and conduct training for supervisors and employees on using electronic TA systems to record and submit timecards; develop training materials and modify standard operating procedures when necessary.
  • Maintain and update individual employees’ certified time and attendance files in compliance with Federal regulations and requirements.
  • Support execution or conduct regular and recurring audits and reconciliations of TA files, standard operating procedures, and materials to determine compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in development and/or testing of system enhancements and updates.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful professional experience in administrative office tasks, WebTA, or contracting and procurement. Federal government experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Working knowledge and experience using WebTA 3.8 and Enterprise Personnel Scheduling (EPS).

Qualifications, Knowledge, and

Skills:

  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension, scope of work involved, compile data from multiple sources, establish facts, and take or recommend action based on established guidelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication, tact, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills to effectively discuss matters with government employees, contractors, and military personnel of all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally following general guidelines.
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, and substantial working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner on or ahead of scheduled due dates.

Pay: $26.59/hr
