Founded in 2002, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) is a national 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization that works with 64 partner groups, its Corporate Council, and its 140,000 members and supporters to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish. We unite and amplify our partners’ voices by strengthening federal policy and funding around conservation, habitat, and access.
The TRCP is looking for an experienced Executive Manager to join this high performing, highly dynamic team. The Executive Manager will play a key role in supporting the CEO and coordinating with TRCP’s Board of Directors.

The hybrid position is based in Washington, DC, and the Executive Manager is expected to be in the office for an average of at least 3 days per week. The in‑office schedule of the Executive Manager will mirror that of the CEO.
Responsibilities- Provide best in class support to the CEO in all endeavors, including calendar and meeting schedule management and travel details.
- Draft and prepare correspondence, manage files and meeting notes, including confidential documents and sensitive information, and ensure successful completion of deliverables under deadline pressures.
- Prepare reports and presentations in various formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and conduct research and compile data necessary for completion.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertly manage correspondence and acknowledgements including written notes, invitation management, follow up on status of tasks, and continuous updates and communication via phone, email, and in person.
- Act as concierge to the CEO, high-profile partners, the Board of Directors, and business contacts. Proactively develop briefing documents in advance of CEO, partner, and stakeholder interactions. Attend meetings as requested, take notes, and ensure action items and next steps are effectively managed and delegated.
- Serve as a primary point of contact (besides CEO) for national Board members. Coordinate new member onboarding. Assist Board members as needed for logistics related to Board and committee meetings.
- Provide leadership and support for Board meetings and all Board committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, creating professional materials for distribution (spreadsheets, slide decks, etc.), compiling meeting minutes, securing meeting spaces and refreshments, and overseeing follow-up communication or next steps.
- Provide support to the Development department such as: processing checks, coordinating deposits, coding and providing necessary reports, preparing and tracking timely donor acknowledgements, and fulfilling donor gifts, etc.
- Support TRCP office operations by: managing the main phone line, handling and distributing mail, inventory and ordering of office supplies, coordinating office equipment maintenance, etc.
- Assist the Director of People & Operations with tasks such as staff surveys, procedures documentation, benefits administration, technology set‑up for staff, and business license compliance, etc.
- Support other executive staff as needed, such as assisting with travel & meeting scheduling and various special projects & initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting senior executives, executive directors or CEOs, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe Acrobat.
- Superior time management with the ability to use or create systems to prioritize multiple competing tasks and manage projects to meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
