They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team in Bethesda to oversee the day-to-day operations of a complex holding company structure. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial data for several corporate holding and development entities, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS standards. Working closely with the Director of Accounting and senior management, you will manage the full month-end close process, perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, and handle recurring accounting tasks in a fast-paced, public-company reporting environment.

The ideal candidate should have the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related concentration from an accredited institution
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in general ledger accounting including account reconciliation and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in handling complex financial reporting under both US GAAP and IFRS standards
- Experience utilizing fully integrated ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or SAP S/4
HANA - Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and the ability to navigate automated workflow tools effectively
- Prior accounting experience within a public or corporate organization specifically focused on energy or real estate businesses
- An active CPA qualification or progress toward obtaining one is considered a significant advantage
- The ability to manage a high volume of data while multitasking in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
- Excellent project organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning team
- Strong problem-solving abilities paired with a superior commitment to internal customer service and communication
