We are partnering with a trusted client in Washington, DC to identify a high-caliber Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role is an excellent fit for candidates coming directly from a Top 10 public accounting firm, particularly those with backgrounds in audit, tax, or a blended audit/tax profile who are looking to transition into industry.

Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal management reports.
- Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
- Lead or support audit-related activities, including compiling schedules, documentation, and responding to requests from external auditors.
- Participate in tax-related work such as gathering supporting documentation, preparing schedules, and assisting with tax filings (as required).
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and workflow efficiencies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
- Experience with a Top 10 public accounting firm (required or strongly preferred).
- Background in audit, tax, or audit/tax hybrid engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or progress toward CPA highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems is a plus.

- Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 + bonus
- Employees are paid on a biweekly basis.
