- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support business planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Education:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional accounting experience in a government contracting environment
- Strong understanding of accounting for government contract types including CPFF, FFP and T&M.
- Ideally Deltek Costpoint and Unanet experience.
