Position: Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant (Contract-Hire)

Overview

Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant (Contract-Hire) role at Addison Group. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
  • Processing and preparation of daily cash receipts, data entry for Membership, Subscriptions, Publications, Annual meeting transactions, and handling inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Administer all aspects of the accounts payable/cash disbursement system including recording of invoices, tracking, review, approval, and payment.
  • Reconcile AR Subledger to GL; maintain accuracy with generally accepted accounting principles (GAP) and typical AR processes.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analyses (bank, subsidiary, general ledger, prepaid, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Prepare journal entries with proper classifications.
Qualifications
  • Min of 2 years of Full Cycle Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with GL reconciliations
  • BS in a business-related field highly preferred
  • Non-Profit industry experience highly preferred

    5 days a week for 6 months; upon converting to permanent, hybrid
  • Pay: $25 - $28/hr
  • Salary on conversion: $50,000 - $60,000
