The Position:

We are looking for a candidate who will provide consulting and financial/accounting support to BSO‑11 (Budget Submitting Office) Business Offices.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

Description

The successful candidate will work with BSO‑11 clients to:

  • Examine and develop processes to support the accounting department to include new processes of Navy ERP.
  • Participate in working groups related to G‑Invoicing, Budget Execution Valuation (BEV), FERMC (UMT, AP AR, IGTs, and Tie‑Points).
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Perform data analysis related to funding, month‑end close, year‑end close.
  • Compile and review field‑level journal vouchers.
  • Review and reconcile monthly treasury reports when compared to the general ledger.
  • Understand the behavior and functionality of various general ledger accounts.
  • Review and analyze trial balances for pre‑close and post‑close analysis.
  • Review and research unmatched transactions.
  • Support other accounting duties as needed.
Education & Experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Allowable substitutions:
    • Associate's degree with eight (8) years of experience.
  • Accounting, audit, and/or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience.
  • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N‑ERP) experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to include performing financial analysis.
  • Self‑driven and efficient.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Works well on team projects.
Travel
  • On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
