Staff auditor, Auditor Accountant

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is seeking a dedicated Staff Auditor to join their team. As a Staff Auditor, you will be an essential part of the auditing department supporting compliance and performance evaluations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title:Staff Auditor

Location:Washington, District Of Columbia

Pay Range:$21-24/hr

• Planning and executing compliance audits following applicable standards
• Preparing comprehensive audit work papers, reports, and documentation
• Communicating audit findings and results through written reports and oral presentations
• Managing individual project workloads efficiently
• Supporting continuous improvement in audit processes and standards

• Bachelor's Degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting and auditing
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with regulatory environments and telecommunications industry (desired)
