THE ROLE
In this commercial-focused role, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end building certification and compliance services across a wide range of commercial projects. Your duties will include:
- Issuing regulatory certificates for commercial developments (CDC, CCC, CBC)
- Conducting Building Code compliance reviews to support commercial certification
- Performing site inspections on commercial projects where CDCs have been issued
- Undertaking Building Code consultancy inspections for existing commercial buildings, redevelopments, upgrades and due-diligence assessments
- Preparing detailed Building Code compliance reports during commercial design, feasibility and due diligence phases
- Completing precise site inspection records throughout the construction phase of commercial projects
- Supporting continuous process improvement (internal procedures, checklists, documentation)
- Participating in internal forums reviewing NCC/Building Code and legislative interpretations
- Attending design and technical meetings (in person and remotely) with commercial project teams
- Liaising with new and existing commercial clients regarding current and upcoming projects
ABOUT YOU
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor within commercial projects
- Strong, up-to-date working knowledge of the NCC/BCA for commercial classifications
- Demonstrated experience in commercial building surveying, certification or consultancy
- Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with builders, developers and consultants
