JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

OFFERED SALARY RANGE: $18.48 - $19.99 per/hr.

FULL SALARY RANGE: $18.48 - $49.26 per/hr. (Represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position)

REPORTS TO: Assigned Lead Teacher or Manager

SUPERVISES: None

Summary

We’re pleased to announce an opportunity for the position of Classroom/Kitchen Aide within the Early Childhood Education Department.

Works under close supervision of education staff to assist in conducting the activities of an early childhood program. Implements trauma-investedpractices that support social-emotional learning and self-regulation in the classroom. Is able to provide a safe environment that includes active supervision of all children under their care. Responsible for food preparation and kitchen duties, which may include shopping. Housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance duties required.

May also be required to fulfill the role of Bus Monitor in some locations.

Please note that this position is subject to the Head Start Wage Freeze, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

* A wage freeze means that there will be no cost-of-living adjustments or merit-based increases to wages during this period, in accordance with program funding guidelines.
