Accountant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Location: White Salmon

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in White Salmon, Washington. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial processes and systems to support month-end close activities and reconcile accounts effectively. This role requires proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and general ledger management, along with experience using Net Suite and Shopify.

Responsibilities:

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain a well-organized general ledger.

- Conduct manual bank deposit reconciliations between Net Suite and Shopify systems.

- Support month-end close activities by compiling financial reports and ensuring accurate data entries.

- Handle bookkeeping tasks to maintain clean and organized financial records.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting needs.

- Work with sales tax processes, ensuring outsourced tasks are managed effectively.

- Assist in maintaining operational efficiency within financial systems. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping and general accounting practices.

- Proficiency in using Net Suite and Shopify for financial tasks.

- Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations and journal entries.

- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and reporting.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data management.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract position.
