Accounts officer

South West Compressors is seeking a part-time Accounts Officer to join their team in Davenport WA 6230. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in the company's finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.

• Process and record accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions including purchase orders
• Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports and payment runs
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers as needed
• Provide support to the accounts receivable and digital technology position as required
• Single touch Payroll, PAYG & Superannuation
• Work with our contracted accounting firm to prepare BAS
• Banking reconciliations

• Relevant experience in an accounting or similar administration role
• A minimum of 3 years accounting or administration experience is required for this position
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
• Proficient with MYOB accounting software and Microsoft Office programs
• Advanced MYOB proficiency including setup and configuration capabilities is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Accurate data entry and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with payroll will be looked upon favourably
• Strong payroll experience is highly desirable for this position
• BAS qualification or similar will be looked upon
• Australian citizenship is mandatory for this role and permanent residents are not eligible
