Blaze Credit Union is currently hiring a Senior Teller at the Blaze Waseca branch. The Senior Teller will be responsible for executing member’s financial transactions in an accurate and professional manner. In addition, this position is responsible for recommending and referring financial products and services and opening member accounts. Senior Tellers must also exemplify superior service and build positive relationships. This position will drive unparalleled member satisfaction, net promoter score (NPS), member retention, cultivate a culture of excellence, and contribute to the overall success and reputation of the organization.

Blaze is currently offering a bonus for DNA experience for $5,500 paid over a 2 year period, and $2,000 for non‑DNA experience paid over a 1 year period for all branch and member experience center positions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Execute financial transactions in a timely, accurate and professional manner to provide needed services and promote positive relationships.
- Complete necessary computing and recording procedures to provide requested services (deposits, withdrawals, certificates, loan payments, etc.) and to maintain account records.
- Research and resolve members questions and disputes (NSF and checkbook reconciling, correct teller/ACH/ATM errors, etc.)
- Balance cash drawer and complete record‑keeping daily to assure accuracy of all transactions and compliance with internal controls; assist in branch opening and closing procedures.
- Recommend and sell appropriate products and services to meet members’ financial needs and support Blaze’s growth objectives.
- Record referrals for future reference and following contact, including correspondence and telephone referral.
- Initiate appropriate contact or follow up on all service and sales leads on a timely basis with outbound calls and or correspondence.
- Perform duties to support effective branch operations: inventory of office supplies; complete daily ATM and instant‑issue procedures; and balance vault and card stock.
- Execute the new account application process to extend needed financial services and expand credit union membership.
- Interview prospective members, collect necessary credit reports and other necessary information.
- Analyze application for credit worthiness and fraud prevention; recommend approval or denial.
- Complete computing and documenting procedures to open new accounts or to refuse denied applications.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

- This position will be FT 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays (Saturday paid 1.5 x for hours worked).
- Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the organization.
- Minimum high school degree or GED (required).
- Minimum of one year working in financial services.
- Minimum of one year customer service experience.
- Minimum of one year cash handling experience.
- Skill of selling, including the ability to identify members’ needs to explain features and benefits of Blaze services and to close sales opportunities; able to advise and refer.
- Well organized, efficient, detail‑oriented and able to work independently or on a team.
