Join our client as an Electrical Technician and play a key role in keeping a large, diverse estate running safely and efficiently.
Location:
Coventry, UK
Salary: £31,236 - £34,610 per annum + market supplement (On‑call hours £200 a month + Time and a half hourly)
Hours:
08:30am to 16:00pm

Our client, a respected organisation with a large and varied estate, is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Technician to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of electrical systems while supporting essential services.

Responsibilities- Respond to reactive electrical jobs, completing work safely and within agreed SLAs
- Diagnose faults across power, emergency lighting, alarms, motors, BMS and portable appliances
- Undertake planned maintenance including inspections, testing and statutory checks
- Resolve breakdowns and advise on repair or replacement solutions
- Support minor installation works and refurbishment projects
- Lead on small power system installations
- Assess risks, follow safety procedures and complete documentation accurately
- Prioritise workload, record job outcomes and maintain electronic timesheets
- Order required materials and support budgeting for small works
- Liaise with supervisors, colleagues and contractors to minimise operational disruption
- Provide high‑quality customer service across a diverse user base
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and keep work areas tidy
- Drive company vehicles between sites when required
- Complete additional duties suitable to the role's level
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance
- 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safety
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage workload
- Experience with high‑volume reactive work
- Good communication and basic IT skills
- Full, clean driving licence
- Experience with PPM systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of fire alarms, LV/HV systems or confined spaces (desirable)
