About us:

Caterpillar Crafts is a modern, creative small business specialising in cross stitch and crochet. We design and sell unique kits and supplies for a growing community of makers who love creativity and thoughtful design.

We’re a hands-on, fast-moving business with a big heart. Our goal is simple: inspire creativity, build a brand people love, and grow sustainably while enjoying what we do.

Why this role matters:

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious Ecommerce Marketing Manager to take ownership of our digital marketing and help turn creative ideas into commercial results.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll work across email marketing (using Klaviyo), website updates and optimisations (using Shopify) and paid marketing (Google and Meta ads), with the opportunity to shape how our marketing evolves as the business grows. You won’t be doing everything alone, but you will play a central role in making sure our marketing is cohesive, effective, and on-brand.

If you enjoy combining creativity with data, taking ownership, and seeing the direct impact of your work, this role will suit you well. This is an important role suited to someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across email, website, paid, and social.

In this role, you’ll be working alongside our Creative Director, Social Media Executive and Photographer to oversee the creation of marketing assets, product photography, and campaign content. You’ll also work closely with the wider team to ensure marketing activity supports business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver Klaviyo email campaigns to support product launches, promotions, and key trading moments.
  • Build, maintain, and optimise our established Klaviyo flows.
  • Manage segmentation, testing, and reporting to improve engagement and revenue.
  • Monitor deliverability and lifecycle performance, sharing insights and ideas for improvement.
Website management
  • Manage and update the Shopify website, including products, collections, merchandising, and content.
  • Make ongoing UX and CRO improvements to support conversion and customer experience.
  • Support product launches and site updates, ensuring everything is accurate, on-brand, and live on time.
  • Work with apps, analytics, and reporting tools to understand performance and spot opportunities.
SEO and content (with support)
  • Own SEO planning and delivery, including on-page optimisation, content improvements, and site structure.
  • Coordinate technical SEO tasks with developers or external partners where needed.
  • Oversee the creation and optimisation of content (blogs, product descriptions, landing pages) with both brand voice and search performance in mind.
Paid media and partnerships (with support)
  • Support and manage paid advertising across platforms, e.g. Meta and Google.
  • Brief and coordinate creative, manage budgets, and optimise performance based on results. Work with external partners and agencies where required.
Who we’re looking for
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable taking ownership
  • Detail-focused, but able to see the bigger picture
  • Curious, creative, and keen to learn and improve
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team
Must-have experience
  • 2–4+ years’ experience in a marketing or eCommerce role
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing (Klaviyo preferred)
  • Experience working with Shopify or a similar eCommerce platform
  • Experience running or supporting paid ads
Nice-to-have (not essential)
  • CRO or analytics experience
  • Background/interest in crafts, gifting, lifestyle, or DTC brands
  • We care more about practical experience and mindset than formal qualifications - a degree is welcome but not required.
What we offer
  • A friendly, creative, and supportive working environment
  • Real ownership and the chance to shape how our marketing grows
  • Opportunities to develop your skills as the business scales
  • Regular social events and a close-knit team
  • Product freebies for birthdays and work anniversaries
  • Generous staff discount on our products
  • On-site parking
