Salary: £12.21 rising to £12.27 after 2 successful weeks training / £13.68 rising to £13.75 after 2 successful weeks training (PAYE / PAYE AUTO) (rising to £12.56 after 12 weeks)
ARC Recruitment are recruiting Production Operatives for a cutting-edge vertical farming facility in Easton, Norwich. This innovative site grows fresh herbs and salads indoors all year round.
This is a great opportunity for ongoing work with the chance of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
Immediate starts available.
Shift Details
Initial hours:
Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
Future shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 06:00 – 18:00
Pay rate: £12.21 rising to £12.27 after 2 successful weeks training / £13.68 rising to £13.75 after 2 successful weeks training (PAYE / PAYE AUTO)
£12.56 per hour after 12 weeks
Contract:
Temp to Perm after 12 weeks
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, your duties will include:
Placing wet mats into aluminium trays
Accurately seeding mats
Trimming and sizing products to customer specifications
Manual weighing and bulk packing of produce
Packing finished goods ready for distribution
Preparing production lines for daily operations
Carrying out hygiene duties including cleaning, mopping, and general tidying
Working Conditions & PPE
General working area temperature: 18°C
Packing room temperature: 8°C (suitable clothing recommended)
Full PPE provided, including:
Overalls
Hairnet
Wellington boots
Additional PPE such as face masks and safety glasses required in some areas
Candidate Requirements
Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred
Comfortable working in cooler environments
Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused
Able to adapt to the 4 on / 4 off shift pattern after training
Own transport essential due to rural location and shift times
