We’re looking for a DPLA Advisor to play a key role in Cadent’s rollout of Advanced Leak Detection (ALD) technology and the Digital Platform for Leakage Analytics (DPLA). This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, data-driven insights, and stakeholder engagement to help us achieve our emission reduction, safety, and operational performance goals.

As a DPLA Advisor, you’ll ensure the successful deployment and day-to-day operation of ALD technology across your designated networks. You’ll also maximise the potential of the data generated by ALD technologies within the DPLA platform, driving smarter decisions and improved outcomes. One of our DPLA Advisors will also manage a dedicated analyst focused solely on ALD and DPLA.

Lead ALD Surveying:
Define high-level ALD survey plans, engage with network teams and service providers, and become an expert in ALD hardware, software, and data.
Analyse & Optimise:
Extract and interpret data from multiple sources, track performance, and drive continual enhancement of the DPLA platform.
Enable Strategic Interventions:
Support networks in building OPEX, CAPEX, and REPEX strategies informed by DPLA insights.
Manage Reporting:
Ensure clear, accurate reporting from ALD service providers and track benefits realisation.
Engage Stakeholders:
Build strong relationships across Cadent departments, IT teams, and external service providers to champion collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Oversee Contracts:
Manage significant contracts (over £20m), ensuring performance and compliance through regular reviews.

What you will bring

Full UK Driving Licence required.
Deep understanding of data analytics and digital platforms.
Prior experience with SAP/Click or similar scheduling software.
GIS software proficiency.
Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
Experience managing service providers and contract oversight.
Implementing business processes and driving operational improvements.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and trend analysis.
Relevant technical or engineering background.
Knowledge of gas networks or similar operational environments (desirable).
