Quality Engineer

Position: Quality Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Warwickshire

We are currently working with an established sub-contract sheet metalworking business based in Redditch, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Engineer's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Maintaining Quality manuals, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Manage and develop QHSE policies, procedures and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Conduct supplier audits
Review all quality debit notes in a timely fashion.
Undertaking a hands-on inspection role to ensure components are produced to the customer specification.
Support APQP and PPAP activities. The ideal candidate for the Quality Engineer will have:

Ideally held a similar role.
Come from a solid engineering background
Ideally have an Engineering qualification (HNC or HND or higher)
A good knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good customer facing skills
The ability to read engineering drawings in various formats.

Experience of working in a hands-on inspection role and be competent using all relevant equipment. In return, the Quality Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary dependent on experience, work in a friendly team environment and work for a forward thinking fast paced company.

We are looking for someone who is looking for their next move, perhaps you're a senior inspector and would like to be a Quality Engineer, we would consider someone who has completed an Engineering Apprenticeship - the fit into the existing team is an important factor; as is the need for someone who is looking to have a long term career, with progression over time to Quality Manager position.
