English Teacher

Location: Warwickshire

Supply Star are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English (Language & Literature) to join our secondary school client on a long-term supply basis to cover a period of teacher absence.

This role offers the opportunity to teach in a supportive and well-established English department dedicated to high standards of teaching and learning. Part Time can be considered. UK Secondary School experience essential.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. The timetable will primarily include Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons in line with the national curriculum

* Assess, monitor, and track student progress

* Provide constructive feedback to support student development

* Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment

* Contribute to the wider work of the English department where appropriate

* Follow school policies, including behaviour management and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience teaching English Language and Literature in a UK secondary school

* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate learners

* Effective classroom management and organisational skills

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
