Job Summary
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) is a teaching hospital associated with the University of Warwick Medical School and the University of Buckingham Medical School.
We are advertising for a Clinical Education Fellow at SPR level to join our medical education team in providing education and training to medical students and resident doctors.
This post has a particular focus on simulation-based education. The successful applicant will play a key role in the design, delivery and development of simulation and skills teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and multidisciplinary programmes within the Trust.
ResponsibilitiesThe post-holder will take a lead, supported by the Director of Medical Education, simulation educator, technician and multidisciplinary faculty, in medical education simulation and skills courses.
This will include delivery and reviewing and developing scenarios and teaching materials to ensure consistently high quality teaching is delivered to our students and postgraduate doctors.
The post-holder will also participate in non-medical workforce simulation sessions, including in-situ simulation sessions.
When there are no simulation sessions planned the post-holder will participate in other teaching sessions delivered by the CEF team.
Qualifications and ExperienceEssential qualifications:
- Medicine Degree
- Current full registration with the General Medical Council
- Four years post-graduation experience working in medicine
- Experience of working in a UK NHS setting including knowledge of healthcare policies and systems
Desirable qualifications:
- MRCP/MRCS or equivalent
Contract:
Fixed term, 12 months, Full-time.
Pay: £65,048 a year.
