Job Purpose

The Diesel Business Development Manager partners with key stakeholders and customers to enhance the PHINIA offering. The role focuses on customer relationships, driving improvements, and implementing process enhancements to foster innovation.

Key Responsibilities Business Strategy
  • Follow and implement the commercial strategy to develop key performance indicators (revenues, margin, and overdues).
  • Build and strengthen business relationships with existing clients.
  • Develop a prospecting and acquisition strategy to strengthen market position and secure growth.
  • Be an expert in the market: know clients, market share, distributors, and platforms.
  • Understand the market and competitive environment; provide weekly updates on relevant information.
  • Monitor and develop the country’s commercial strategy in your location.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers in the sector.
  • Develop the client portfolio and acquire new customers.
  • Implement and develop brand positioning, services, and solutions (value proposition).
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers, marketing, logistics, and technical teams.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape.
  • Stimulate demand and foster customer loyalty.
KPI’s
  • Achieve the sector’s objectives: revenue, overdues, margin.
  • Meet SMART objectives validated with your manager.
  • Track number of visits, client/prospect visit ratio, and follow‑ups on key clients.
  • Provide clear reports through Sales Force.
  • Provide all necessary information for proper client account management, including revenue tracking and project progress updates.
Customer Portfolio Development
  • Develop business volume with existing clients (distributors).
  • Implement an effective prospecting strategy to grow market share.
  • Follow the company’s policy and the KAM Group’s guidelines to streamline information exchange and facilitate business acquisition.
  • Be present at client events, trade shows, and regional promotions.
  • Develop the entire PHINIA product portfolio.
Demand Planning
  • Provide support on the sales request and forecasting process.
Continuous Improvement
  • Enter information into Sales Force / AIMI.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in multinational/multicultural companies.
  • Experience in team management and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work directly with management and employees at all levels.
  • Flexible and dynamic approach.
  • Skill in assessing market trends.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong focus on quality and customer‑centric mindset.
Education/Experience – Preferred
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
