We have an opportunity at our Warwick Terminal in QLD for a Trades Assistant to join our Trailer Bay team and assist in maintaining our fleet of trailers. This position will have Monday to Friday as your work days with a rotating Saturday roster. The position is a great opportunity to grow and be offered a Trailer Assistant Apprenticeship. The Trailer Bay apprenticeship have units transferrable towards a Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship.

We have a variety of career paths that extend from our trailer bay team which includes opportunities in our fabrication, workshop, paint and warehousing teams. With the right attitude and a passion for all things trucks, the opportunities are endless.

Relevant training and apprenticeships will be offered to the right applicant.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs, maintenance and services on Wickhams trailers
• Work to deadlines and report to Trailer Bay Leading Hand
• Ability to effectively operate tools and machinery
• Adhere to and follow NHVAS procedures
• Adhere to and follow occupational health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience or qualifications will be held in high regard
• Hands on with a 'can-do' attitude
• Mechanical mindset is beneficial
